Welcome to SummerCrest — a community of 700 homes in Ocala, Florida. This checklist will help you get settled quickly. For questions not answered here, use the contact section to reach our property manager or board.

Community Utilities
Your essential service providers for SummerCrest — trash, electric, internet, and water.
⚠️Always confirm current phone numbers and service areas directly with each provider. Contact information may change.
Community Gates
SummerCrest gates are powered by LiftMaster and managed through the myQ Community app.

The community entry gates run on a LiftMaster system managed through the myQ Community app. Open the gate, grant guest access, and monitor entry — all from your phone.

Getting Set Up

  • 1Download the myQ Community app from the App Store or Google Play.
  • 2Create a free account using your email address.
  • 3Contact the HOA Board to have your unit linked to the gate system.
  • 4Once activated, tap the gate button in the app to open the entrance gate.
  • 5Share guest access via the app for visitors, deliveries, and service providers.
🔧Gate malfunction or access issue? Contact the HOA Board and reference the LiftMaster myQ Community system at SummerCrest.
Board Meetings
Per §720.303 — all board meetings are open to all association members.

📅 Regular Schedule

  • 4th Thursday of every month
  • 6:00 PM · Belleview Community Center
  • Hybrid: In-Person + Microsoft Teams
  • ARB meetings at 5:30 PM (when applicable)
  • Notice posted/emailed at least 48 hours in advance
Teams login info is posted below and sent via email blast before each meeting.

  • 3-minute comment limit per agenda item per resident
  • Agenda posted in advance on Sentry portal
  • Approved minutes uploaded to Sentry portal
  • Annual members meeting held in late December/January
  • 233 homesites required for quorum
Per §720.303(2)(a), members have the right to attend, observe, and speak at all board meetings.

Your Rights Under Florida Statute §720
Florida law provides clear protections for all HOA homeowners. Full statute: flsenate.gov
Attend and speak at all regular and special board meetings (§720.303)
Inspect and copy all official HOA records including financials and minutes (§720.303(5))
Receive the annual budget and financial report (§720.303(6))
Vote in elections and on amendments to governing documents (§720.306)
Be notified of board meetings at least 48 hours in advance (§720.303(2))
Challenge fines through a proper Fines Committee hearing (§720.305)
Display the U.S. flag, Florida flag, and authorized flags (§720.304)
Install solar energy devices or clotheslines per Florida law (§720.304)
Participate in the election and recall of board members (§720.306)
Receive governing documents upon purchase (§720.401)
Request dispute resolution before certain legal actions (§720.311)
Consistent, non-discriminatory rule enforcement (§720.305)
